Remove your filter - Before totality do not forget to remove the solar filter. This is to avoid the bummed out feeling that comes when you realize that all that equipment you brought along took images of nothing.
After removing the solar filter you should check the focus. You will have to make a slight adjustment because of the change in the optics (when using longer length lenses) or there is a good chance it slipped a bit. By checking the focus you can also be sure you did indeed remove the filter.
