1991 Total Solar Eclipse - American made quilt (Rosemary Elkes) hanging in the basement of Perkins Observatory near the mirror making lab. Shows eclipsed sun over the arches at Cabos. Rosemary Elkes' son, Jay, was on a ship for the eclipse and this quilt was created from a design on a shirt he brought back from the trip.
