Wolfgang Schindler Horizon Calendar 2018

Wikipedia says: The horizon or skyline is the apparent line that separates earth from sky, the line that divides all visible directions into two categories: those that intersect the Earth's surface, and those that do not.

This calendar contains photographs that show the skyline as a horizontal line dividing the picture into two equal halves, though sometimes the true horizon is invisible, since it is obscured by “trees, buildings, mountains, etc.”

Most of the photos were taken during my round-the-world trip in 2017, only two are from earlier travels in 2015. The locations of my respective positions are given as coordinates, but to mention the names of the (non-)places I have been to I will list them here in order of their appearance: North Atlantic east of the Atlantic Ridge, North Atlantic south of Newfoundland near the Artimon Bank, North Sea near Hoek van Holland, Baltic Sea near Rostock-Warnemünde, Tony’s Hut on Seven Mile Beach at Negril on Jamaica, Halifax Harbour on Nova Scotia in Canada, Waikiki Beach in Honolulu on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, Rockefeller Center in New York City, Ivanovka in the Kalachinsky District of Russia’s Omsk Oblast, Bagakhangai-Choir Road in Mongolia’s Töv Province, Lake Baikal near Listvyanka in Russia’s Irkutsk Oblast, North Atlantic north of the Newfoundland Basin, and North Atlantic at N 48° 09' 41.09'' and W 37° 51' 42.44'', where nothing is listed on any map I could find.
