Go To Telescope set up often requires a couple steps to input the local time, coordinates, and then point at a couple of stars. The first two are pretty easy if you have a GPS. The third means setting up the night before. In most cases you can fudge the star locations and then get on the solar track. Just do not try to do the set up during totality!
