SST Chase In 1973 a Concorde jet flew in the shadow a record 74 minutes. That sounds wonderful until you consider the tiny little windows of the Concorde the fact that you cannot see up to the eclipse. The SST was modified for viewing out the top by instruments and the eclipse could be seen from in the cockpit. Now all we need is an SST with transparent roof!
