Eclipse Scientists Because of the suspense it is easy to make mistakes or just simply forget to do some steps. Automation is the obvious solution, just remember to turn it on at the right time. I have often marveled at those scientists that wanted to do precision work during totality. It seems it would be too easy to make a simple mistake.
